Kent Magnuson
Assistant Vice President/Counsel
Kent graduated from Hamline University School of Law in 1978. He was admitted to the Minnesota bar in 1978 and to the United States District Court bar in 1979. He practiced law in Minneapolis and Cambridge, Minnesota until 1999 when he accepted a position at North Star Title (now General American Corporation) as Attorney/Manager-Title Examination Department. During his tenure at North Star Title he also took on the responsibility of corporate counsel. In 2001 Kent accepted a position as Associate General Counsel/Assistant Vice President at ATI Title Company and held that position until joining Commercial Partners Title, LLC in November of 2002. His responsibilities included underwriting for commercial and residential title insurance, closing and escrow issues, claims, statutory and regulatory compliance, procedure audits and training involving company business in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and South Dakota. At Commercial Partners Title Kent performs commercial underwriting duties. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association. |
