Title insurance endorsements can help tailor your title policy to fit the unique needs of your property. There are a wide range of endorsements that may be useful when underwriting title insurance. This article will describe the benefits and uses of the ALTA 25 series survey endorsements.

Survey Endorsements

The Survey Endorsement insures an insured owner or that a specific survey covers the same land as is insured in the Title Policy. The coverage given by this endorsement goes beyond the coverage given by deleting the standard survey exception from the policy in that it affirmatively insures the accuracy of the survey. The ALTA 25.1-06 is used when the survey covers more than the insured property.

The survey endorsement is available in both a lender’s policy and an owner’s policy.
